Penrose Community Picnic

The community picnic is held each year in Penrose Park at 6th Street South, between Wayne St and Courthouse. It's a great chance to meet your neighbors, listen to a local band and enjoy the park.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt

A recently revived Penrose tradition - fun for ages 1 through 3rd grade. Watch the e-mail discussion group for details as Easter approaches!

Columbia Pike Farmer's Market

Sundays, 10am - 1pm during the winter, 9am - 1pm during the summer. Come out for fresh fruits, vegetables, baked good, breads, jams, soaps, herbs, jewelry, flowers and more! The market also carries free-range and organic eggs, milk, beef, pork, and chicken. There is a French baker, Vermont Maple Syrup, artisan goat cheese, sausages and pasta. The market is held at the Pike Park, which is the small green area in front of Rite Aid Drug store at Columbia Pike and South Walter Reed Drive. For additional information, see CPRO's web page for the market.

Columbia Pike Blue's Festival

A great way to kick off the summer, every year CPRO brings a number of top-notch Blues acts to the corner of Walter Reed Dr and Columbia Pike for a Saturday of great music and great food. This year's festival will be June 16, 2012 from 1 pm to 8 pm. For more information, see the CPRO's web page for the festival.
